- Republicans might imagine that this will help them get elected again. But their approval ratings are even lower, by a whole lot. Even Republicans don't like their party, either because they're too crazy or not crazy enough. They are clearly headed for the dust bin of history, and good riddance.

- It'll be a long time before any American diplomats will be stationed in Tehran again, and even longer until any Iranians are allowed in Washington.
